Our Staff
Dr. Kelman graduated from the University of Cape Town Medical School. His training included a Doctorate on Protein Metabolism, a residency in Internal Medicine, resident rotations in Neurosurgery and Neuroradiology, and a residency in Neurology at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Kelman is Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Georgia Neurological Society, American Medical Association, and the Medical Association of Atlanta. He is a also a member of the American Headache Society and the International Headache Society. He has published extensively in the headache field and serves as a peer reviewer for headache journals. Dr. Kelman is on the active Staff of St Joseph’s Hospital and Northside Hospital. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at Northside Hospital, Chairman of the Institutional Review Board at Northside Hospital, Chairman of the Education and Research Committee at Northside Hospital, and Chairman of the Rehabilitation Committee at Northside Hospital.
Debra has been an integral part of the Headache Center of Atlanta team for over a decade and has over 13 years of Nurse Practitioner experience and knowledge. Her background education includes a Master of Science, Adult Practitioner degree from the University of Maryland, School of Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Johns Hopkins University, School of Nursing, and a Bachelor of Arts, Health Promotion from the University of Texas. Debra is a registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia.
In her spare time, she enjoys competing in marathons and spending time with her family.
